removal of synthetic wall coating
We are going to install a long island, dishwasher built into the island at the sink end (opening towards the side opposite to the cupboards). For the work surface we are going to use the Sapien Stone Balance Steel Blue product together with an Invisacook three ring hidden induction hob. We will also consider building in Invisacook wireless charging modules for phones.
Replace the Exterior Light
We already have a reclaimed exterior lamp from a similar era to the house. It has been shot blasted and powder coated so is ready to be installed.
We will use a ZigBee switch so can be turned on automatically when we approach the house in the dark.
Interior doors and door frames
Internal Wall Insulation (Open Question)
Overall wall insulation.
We have some old painted detail on the walls which we would like to keep. Much has been overpainted with modern synthetic paint which we will need to remove. I have heard of people using olive based soap to cover distemper and emphasise its appearance.
Stairs and Balconies
We have been told by Mr Rebai from UTC Acquarossa that the stair rails are too low, this will need to be addressed but is not yet at the top of our priorities.
A picture of our current situation is below followed by pictures taken elsewhere which might provide a solution (the extension and the wooden rail rather than complete replacement).

Radon
As a precaution we measured the Raydon levels at various points in the house. The measurements in the cellar where very high (3088 Bq per cubic meter). Advice from SUPSI was to revisit this after we have completed our work as the changes we're doing might alter our measurement's.
It is noted here as a reminder for later.

Exterior Rendering and Shutters
We are aware that the external rendering needs attention. Some areas of stucco are delaminating from the walls.
Some of the wrought iron features have been removed from the windows. Eventually we would like to replace these.
We are also considering installing shutters on the exterior of the building. The picture was spotted on a building in Olivone. A nice touch if we can find a similar product for the house.

Vescovi Crest
One of our finishing touches will be to have the Vescovi crest on the front of the house restored.
The current crest says "Renovatum AD 1936", we would like to extend this with our completion year and perhaps a nod to ourselves as we're not "Vescovi's"
