There are two bathrooms, one between the ground and the first floors and another between the first and the second. Both are pretty dire but they are better than having no bathrooms at all on day 1.
The lower bathroom contains a shower and a toilet, We intend to replace all of the contents, tiling the whole room and installing a shower without shower base (just tiles and a drain so it doesn't matter where the water goes.
We will convert the upper bathroom into a laundry room with washer and dryer and either remove or replace the toilet.
Lower Bathroom Shower
The shower in the lower bathroom will at least mean that we can stay clean during the early works. This clearly needs a complete rework quite early in the renovation process.
Lower Bathroom Toilet
Again, something that is serviceable and will be useful during the early renovations but it needs to go very soon. The wall mounted heater will also be an early casualty. Who in their right mind would but an electric heater in a bathroom?
The "soil pipe" in the corner needs to be investigated and perhaps moved to outside of the house.
Lower Bathroom Window
Again a great view of the soil pipe!
Look at the thickness of the walls!!
Upper Bathroom Bath
Again, serviceable but it needs to go! Another electric heater too. The sign on the wall translates to something like "Important: While taking a bath or shower, always turn off the electric heater by removing the plug. I used the hair dryer with on no more than a room heater included".
We expect this room to become a washroom in due course.
Upper Bathroom Toilet
Useabel from day one but also needs to go!
